007 star to make sitcom cameo

Sir Roger Moore is to make a guest appearance in the next series of Absolutely Fabulous.

The 75-year-old former Bond star will record his segment on Jennifer Saunder's sitcom this week.

Sir Roger, who was knighted in the Queen's Birthday Honours, this weekend, has recently been hit by health scares, collapsing on stage during the Broadway run of Morcambe and Wise tribute The Play What I Wrote.

The latest series, the fifth, is expected to be screened later this year.
