Doing his Holmeswork
Simon Munnery is working on a one-man radio show debunking the image of iconic characters.
The League Against Tedium star will write and perform a four-part series Where Did It All Go Wrong? for Radio 4.
Each of the four shows will focus on a different character.
One covers Sherlock Holmes, with Munnery arguing that he wasn't a genius - but solved his first two cases by fluke, giving him a reputation he could coast on.
Another show will be about behavioural scientist Ivan Pavlov, though the topics of the other two shows are still under wraps.
One episode will be recorded in front of a live audience at the Edinburgh Fringe in August, the others at the Drill Hall in London next month.
The series will be broadcast from late August.
