Great Scott!
A blue plaque is to be unveiled outside the childhood home of Terry Scott later this month.
Sir John Mills will perform the ceremony outside 32 Tucker Street, Watford, where the comic was born.
June Whitfield, who spent 13 years as Scott's wife in the sitcoms Happy Ever After and Terry and June, is expected to attend if her work schedule allows. She is currently filming the new series of Absolutely Fabulous.
Other showbiz names expected to attend the May 18 ceremony include Jack Douglas, who starred with Terry in a number of Carry On films.
The ceremony, organised by Comic Heritage, will be followed by a £53-a-head charity lunch at the nearby Hilton Hotel. For details of this, visit the Heritage Foundation's website.
