Fry's winning show

BBC greenlights comedy panel game

Stephen Fry is to host a new comedy panel game for BBC2.

Q.I. will feature celebrity teams challenging each other to answer 'absurdly difficult' general knowledge questions.

Among those lined up to appear in the 12-part series are Eddie Izzard and Alan Davies.

The show starts recording in London next week, following a successful pilot made last summer.

Earlier this month, Fry slated the BBC for the "greasy, miserable, British and pathetic" decision to fire Angus Deayton as the host from Have I Got New For You, and vowed to boycott the topical show until he was reinstated.

Free audience tickets are available to the recording of QI. Click here for details.
