Radio stars honoured

Tony Hancock, The Goons and Kenneth Horne hare all to be honoured in a new radio Hall Of Fame.

Fellow comedy stars Arthur Askey, Kenny Everett and Tommy Handley are also on the list, compiled by the Radio Academy.

A spokesman said: "These icons of our broadcasting set a standard to which all those who follow can aspire.

"For many, their performances will live on in the memory, but in case those images fade, here they can be revitalised at will.

"These icons of our broadcasting set a standard to which all those who follow can aspire."
