'A load of old toss'

Vegas slams former paymasters

Johnny Vegas has attacked the company that made him a household name.

He said the defunct ITV Digital was "a load of old toss" - and apologised for being the frontman of their advertising campaign.

He also said he was sorry the collapse of the company hit Nationwide league football clubs, who had been promised millions in a rights deal.

In an interview with May's Maxim magazine, the Shooting Stars regular said: "What they did to the football was unforgivable. So I'm sorry for being the frontman for a load of old toss."

Vegas also revealed that he considered his Radio 4 sitcom Night Class a "personal triumph", if only because "we got away with saying big dog's cock. Twice."
