Die another day

Thomas heads anti-war protest

Mark Thomas plans to bring Edinburgh to a standstill with an anti-war 'die-in' today.

He and fellow protesters will slump to the ground as the 1pm gun is fired from the castle.

And he wants to recruit as many people as possible to join his campaign.

He told Scotland's Daily Record: "The cameras will hopefully be there filming, so the police are likely to be nicer than they normally are,"

"We are going to have a die-in to show what will be happening in Iraq when the war gets under way.

"I expect there to be hundreds there."

Similar protests were held in Wrexham, London, Southampton and Oxford on Monday
