Prankster barred from the US

Dom Joly has been barred from entering America to film a US version of Trigger Happy TV.

The comic has been denied a visa because he has been arrested five times while filming his pranks in the UK.

Joly, one of the new faces of BBC3, wanted to film in the US because people there don't recognise him there. Ali G has successfully used the same trick for his next Channel 4 series.

But Joly told the Daily Mirror: "I've had five months trying to get into America. I find it astonishing."

Six new episodes of Trigger Happy TV are to be screened in the US in April.
