Liverpool club seeks permanent home

Liverpool's most established comedy club is on the lookout for a purpose-built venue.

The Rawhide began life at the Everyman Theatre more than a decade ago, and is now in its third home, at the Baby Blue club in trendy Albert Dock.

But punters are being turned away from sold-out shows every weekend, so director Gillian Miller is seeking a larger, permanent venue.

She told the Liverpool Daily Post: "Rawhide is looking at premises in Liverpool to open our own club and we are very excited at the prospect.

"The Liverpool comedy scene is really going places and the public are supporting us all the way. We want to give them and the acts the best venue and will not be rushing into anything."
