Foster extends radio deal
Toby Foster has extended his contract with BBC Radio Sheffield until July 2004.
The comic has presented the afternoon show since April, a stint that has earned him a nomination in the British Radio Awards handed out this month.
On New Year's Eve, the show came from Bosnia where Foster was appearing with Liberty X, entertaing the troops in Banja Luka.
However, he says the extra radio work won't affect his stand-up work.
"It's been a great year for me, and I'm dead chuffed to sign up
for the radio show again," he said. "Here I'm allowed to do what I want, play what I want and say what I want.
"What's the point of doing a show that allows you to talk for 14 minutes an hour between ads for sofas?"
