New sitcom for Freeman

The Office's Martin Freeman is to star in a new sitcom from Men Behaving Badly writer Simon Nye.

Nye is following up Wild West, the Dawn French series coolly received by critics, with Hardware, a comedy set in a DIY store.

Freedman plays the shop's owner, Mike, who struggles with his job and an awkward penchant for his fiancee's mother.

The series will air next year, and is being recorded at Teddington Studios in January.
