Herring's show goes on tour

Richard Herring is to hit the road with his Talking Cock.

The show - a male answer to the Vagina Monologues - has already been exported to nine countries.

And now, following successful runs at the Edinburgh Festival and London's Soho Theatre, he is to perform it at 34 dates across the UK.

The tour kicks off in Bracknell on January 11, ending up in Liverpool in May. For a full list of dates, click here.

In the show, Herring explores why the male member inspires lust, fear, awe ­ and laughter.

He said: "I am delighted to be taking my Cock on tour. It has long been my dream to show my Cock to huge crowds in the provinces.

"My Cock is longer than ever before and I can keep it up for over 80 minutes. My Cock is full of delicious, outrageous, sexy and disgusting secrets that I want to share with you. I hope you will come."

He added: "On re-reading this statement I notice that some of the things I have said could be taken to be referring to my actual penis. This was never my intention and I hope no-one misconstrues my comments in this way."

Herring is also writing a book based on his show, due for publication next year.
