Izzard releases first video in 4 years

Eddie Izzard is to release his first live video in four years.

Circle was recorded in New York in 2000, with transvestite Izzard performing in six-inch black stiletto boots.

It will be released on a 111-minute video (£16.99) and DVD (£19.99) on November 18.

The show features such typically surreal ramblings as what happens when you give guns to monkeys; how Darth Vader orders pasta and questioning whether God lives in a caravan.

At the time, the New York Times described the show as "a rewarding, laugh-littered evening of entertainment".

The DVD release also contains some extra footage of the comic.

Izzard's last solo video was Dress To Kill, in 1998.
