Djalili added to variety show bill

Omid Djalili has been added to the bill of this year's Royal Variety Performance.

The British-Iranian comic, who has just signed a sitcom deal with US network NBC, will appear alongside the likes of Kylie Minogue, Gareth Gates and Ronan Keating.

Other comics on the bill at the Hammersmith Apollo include Lee Mack and Bob Monkhouse, plus ventriloquist Paul Zerdin.

The Prince of Wales is the royal guest at the December 2 show, where tickets cost up to £260.

Djalili is also appearing with Rich Hall's creation Otis Lee Crenshaw at London's Lyric Theatre on October 27 as part of the Perrier Pick Of The Fringe season. The pair will perform a September 11-themed song Hall has written for the occasion.
