'I'll quit comedy for football'

Royle Family star Ralf Little is ready to jack in his acting career to become a professional footballer.

The 22-year-old has been invited to train with Division Three leaders
Hartlepool United, ad has attracted interest from Millwall and Swindon.

Ralf, who also starred in TV's Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, said: "I'd pack it all in to play for Hartlepool.

"I'd love to be a professional footballer. I don't know if I'm good enough but I've got the passion."

Manager Chris Turner approached Ralf after seeing him play in a charity game.

He said: "I will see how it goes."

Ralf had trials with Second Division Swindon and has been seen by scouts from First Division Millwall.
