Coogan drawn to animation

He'll voice new vivisection comedy

Steve Coogan is making an animated comedy about freed laboratory animals for BBC2.

The channel has ordered a six-part run of I Am Not An Animal from Coogan's production company Baby Cow.

Written by Peter Baynham, the show involves animals used to a pampered life before anti-vivisectionists release them into their natural surroundings, where they receive a rude awakening

The show, billed as a "darkly entertaining adult animation series", features the voices of Coogan, Julia Davis (from Human remains), Kevin Eldon, Father Ted creator Arthur Mathews and Amelia Bulmore.
