Booed boys

Trev and Simon flee offstage

Trev and Simon were booed off stage last night.

The former kids' TV presenters were previewing their Edinburgh show at the Ealing Comedy Festival in west London.

But the duo bombed, fleeing the stage 15 minutes into their performance to a barrange of heckles.

Lee Mack rescued the night by coming on for an encore set.

Punter Simon Collier told Chortle: "The mood of the audience had turned so savage that the pair were forced to flee the stage."

They left after hecklers shouted: "Do you do gags?" and "Don't go to Edinburgh".

Another audience member told Ananova: "The act was unutterably awful."

Their final joke was Trevor holding up a picture of a monkey, saying it was Simon as a baby.

Trevor and Simon appeared at last year's Fringe to reasonable reviews. This year's show - Unwigged - is on at The Pleasance.

Meanwhile, the Ealing Comedy Festival continues to Friday.
