Spaced star to judge new comics

Spaced star Simon Pegg is going to the Edinburgh Festival - to judge one of the new comedy competitions.

The actor, who is currently writing a comedy horror film called Shaun Of The Undead, will help choose the winner of So You Think You're Funny.

Last year's competition, backed by Channel 4, was judged by Steve Coogan, as well as a number of industry insiders.

More than 50 hopefuls will be competing in heats during the fringe, to be whittled down to nine before the final at the Gilded Balloon Teviot on August 22.

Previous winners of the competition include Peter Kay, Lee Mack, Tommy Tiernan and Dylan Moran.
