BBC choice
The BBC has announced the semi-finalists in its hunt for new stand-up talent.
Thirty-two aspiring comics will now perform at showcase gigs in London, to be filmed for BBC Choice.
Winners from these heats will go on to the final, to be held at the Edinburgh festival and screened on BBC1.
The ultimate winner receives £1,500 and the chance to have a programme developed by the BBC.
Semi-finals will be held at Madame JoJo's in London from June 30 to July 3, two shows a night.
Hosts on the night will be Chris Addison, Ross Noble, Toby Foster and Marcus Brigstocke and the TV shows will be presented by Jenny Eclair.
