Oh my god, it's Kilkenny

Festival line-up announced

Bill Bailey, Ed Byrne, Rich Hall and Ross Noble have all been lined up to play the Kilkenny Cat's Laughs Comedy Festival.

The programme for the event, which takes place in the Irish town over the bank holiday weekend May 30 to June 3, has just been announced.

As usual, the show features a good showing of visiting American comics, including Emo Philips and Dom Irrera.

This year, the event has also added a literary strand, featuring India Knight, Pete McCarthy and others, and will be screening some short comedy films.

Adam Hills, Daniel Kitson, Sean Lock, Omid Djalili and Phil Kay are also on the stand-up bill.
