Best In Show team tackle music scene

The team behind Best In Show are to tackle the world of folk music in their next movie.

Christopher Guest, also responsible for Spinal Tap, will direct the film, written by himself and veteran comedy actor Eugene Levy.

Shooting on the as-yet untitled comedy will start in Los Angeles this spring.

Guest told trade magazine The Hollywood Reporter: "It deals with three folk acts that get together for a memorial concert at Carnegie Hall because a famous legendary folk manager has died

"These acts were active in the Sixties but have been out of the business since the early Seventies. "

"There'll be lots of music and we'll have original songs with everybody actually playing and singing.

"It'll be the same basic cast you saw in Best in Show, with some additional people."

Harry Shearer, who provides Simpsons voices including Montgomery Burns, Waylon Smithers and Ned Flanders, will also appear in the ensemble film.
