Williams hits the road

A return to his stand-up roots

Robin Williams is to return to his stand-up roots.

The 49-year-old is putting his Hollywood career on hold for his first live tour in 12 years.

His tour will kick off in Lake Tahoe, California, on February 26 - and could even include some European dates.

Williams told US chat show host Jay Leno he missed the buzz of a live performance.

And when asked about his nightmare gigs, he recounted an incident that happened to another comic at London's Comedy Store.

He said: "There was this blind guy at the chap, and he shouted out 'get off'. Then, after a second, yelled 'Is he gone yet?'"
