Seinfeld hints at reunion

Solo flops fuel the idea

Jerry Seinfeld has hinted that his hit TV show could return.

And he says the failure of its stars' solo careers could be the catalyst for the reunion.

Former co-stars Jason Alexander and Michael Richards have both been involved in flop shows.

The comic was asked about a return to TV during a question-and-answer session at the end of a show in Washington.

"It's a definite possibility," he told the audience, adding that it could be "sooner than you think" following the performance of his former colleagues' careers.

He joked: "Two down and two to go."

Julia Louis-Dreyfus will be the next to try a solo TV show, with 12 episodes of her project 23:12 - the length of a half-hour programme after ad breaks in the US - ordered by American network NBC
