Connolly's drunken shame

Billy Connolly has confessed to groping a dead body while drunk.

The comic said the incident was one of the reasons he gave up drinking.

He told Sue Lawley on Radio 4's Desert Island Discs: "I met a guy in the pub and I was blitzed. I said, 'What do you do?'

"He said he was an undertaker. I said, 'Wow! How do dead people feel?'

"So we ended up down there opening coffins and touching the dead to see how they felt.

"Oh my god, I thought, I've got to change."

The 59-year-old comic also recently told chatshow host Michael Parkinson he would eat wife Pamela Stephenson's corpse
