Noble joins Soho season

Theatre launches autumn comedy

Ross Noble is to perform a three-week run in London's West End.

The quick-thinking comic, who has just completed a short tour of South Africa, is bringing his freeform Edinburgh show Slacker's Playtime to the Soho Theatre in December.

It's part of a busy season of comedy at the two-year-old venue.

Jenny Éclair, Garth Marenghi, Daniel Kitson, Andrew Clover, Catherine Tate and Danny Bhoy are all taking their Edinburgh hits to the theatre this autumn.

And a number of comedy names will be appearing at the annual writers' festival, including Alexei Sayle, John Hegley, Tony Hawks, Nigel Planer and Ken Campbell.

The Soho Theatre has also just launched a weekly showcase for character comics to experiment with improv, game show and stand-up formats.

Probe takes place on Wednesdays October 10, 24 and 31 at 8pm.
