Comics' feud turns nasty
Police were called in after a row between two stand-ups over allegedly stolen material escalated into a savage war of words.
The bitter feud beween US comics Jay Mohr (above) and Andrew Dice Clay (below) has ended in harassment charges, which may end up in court.
It kicked off on Tuesday, when Clay called a New York radio talk show Mohr was appearing on.
Clay claimed Mohr had stolen parts of his act when he appeared on the previous night's TV chat show Late Night With Conan O'Brien.
During the heated row, Mohr called Clay a "Jew" and a "Heeb" and told him to "die", this morning's New York Post reports.
Clay hit back, calling Mohr was a "creep" who "hit on all the girls coming out of the bathroom at the Comedy Store in LA".
The row apparently turned nastier after the show, when Mohr's wife Nicole called Clay to clear the air.
Clay is then alleged to have made threats against Mohr, and insulted his wife, so Mohr called in the police to file the complaint, which is likely to end up in court.
Mohr again appeared on the radio talk show - Opie & Anthony - on Wednesday, and Clay rang in, calling him a "sissy" for taking out the action. Clay did make an attempt to bury the hatchet, but Mohr declined.
