Coogan revives Partridge

He's back to compere drug benefit

Steve Coogan is to revive Alan Partridge to compere a star-studded charity gig on Sunday.

The hapless chat show host will appear alongside Ruby Wax, Paul Whitehouse and Alan Rickman in the Drugathon fundraiser.

Coogan has not appeared as Partridge for three years, although he is working on a new TV series for the much-loved character.

Sunday's show at the Old Vic Theatre in London hopes to raise £50,000 for the capital's Drug Dependency Centre.

Other acts set to appear include Channel 4's Armstrong and Miller and Gary Oldman.

A spokesman for the event said: "It's a real one-off - never again will these stars be coming together to present a show like this."

Tickets, priced from £15, are available from 0870 011 2626.
