Perrier activists plan demo
Anti-Perrier campaigners are planning to stage a protest outside the awards event on Saturday.
Activists, spurred on by Rob Newman's call for the prize to be boycotted, will be staging their demonstration in protest at what they say is parent company Nestle's malpractice in marketing baby powder in the third world.
Baby Milk Action claims that 4,000 infants die every day because they are not breastfed, and the cost of artificial milk increases poverty.
However, the company says the claims are out of date, and Perrier award organisers have pointed to how the prize has supported comedy for the past 20 years,
The protest will take place at 10.30pm on Saturday outside the Pleasance Dome, where the winner is announced at midnight.
