Coogan blasts 11 O'Clock Show

Steve Coogan has branded the 11 O'Clock show 'loathsome'.

The Alan Partridge star, who is notoriously sensitive about his onw reviews, said the axed Channel 4 comedy was "post-modernism as an excuse for churning out rubbish".

He cited the show in a catalogue of things that made him furious - alongside the glamorisation of criminals and what he sees as the government's desire to stifle debate - in an interview with The Scotsman to promote his new film The Parole Officer.
