Comics take the plunge in new show

Stand-ups taking part in a new Channel 4 game show run the risk of being plunged into a tank full of alligators.

Five comedians will take part in each episode of Be Funny Or Else, to be hosted by Armstrong and Miller's Ben Miller.

The game is described as a comedy version of 'pass the parcel', in which comics pass on the baton once they get a laugh. The one talking at the end of three minutes takes the plunge.

Audiences have been told: "Should you find any of the comics unfunny, you have the power to send them plummeting into a tank full of alligators. This is not a joke."
