The Montreal deal
Johhny Vegas, Adam Bloom, Sean Meo, Sean Lock, Jimeoin and Francesca Martinez will be representing Britain at the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal next month.
They are the stand-ups in the Britcom section of the 11-day event, which starts on July 12.
The blurb for the show, which gives an insight into how the UK is perceived from Canada, reads: "Ello guv'nor! From Muckle Flugga to Lizard Point, Britcom assembles a bloody right ensemble of new lads and lasses for a double-decker evening of laughs. These stand-ups have bollocks to spare and will chunnel their way into your heart."
Other names appearing at the 19-year-old festival include Spinal Tap, Brendon Burns, Arj Barker, Puppetry of the Penis, Mike Wilmot, Simon B Cotter, Lano and Woodley and Supergirly.
Jerry Sadowitz was once memorably attacked at the festival after greeting the Montreal audience with the opening line: "Good evening, moosefuckers."
