Unfunny business
A new workshop for would-be comics aims to teach the commercial side of the business, as well as the art of developing an act.
Scottish comic Janey Godley will run the courses at the new Shake-Up club at the Atlantic Bar in Piccadilly Circus as part of next month's London comedy festival.
She said: "Many comics feel uncomfortable dealing with confrontational business problems from the other side of the microphone but this course will help."
The courses cost £10 and take place on July 25 to 27. To book a place, call 020 7734 4888 or email janey@comic.fsnet.co.uk
Shake-Up launches at the venue on July 22.
