Win Bernard Manning series on DVD

The second series of the working men’s club variety show The Wheeltappers And Shunters Social Club is released on DVD on Monday – and we have five copies to give away.

The programme, which aired between 1975 and 1977, was compered by Bernard Manning with fellow stand-up veteran Colin Crompton acting as ‘Mr Chairman’.

This series features turns from Cannon and Ball, Dustin Gee, Little and Large, The Krankies, Bill Haley and his Comets and The Three Degrees – among others. And if you look carefully you might be able to spot future Coronation Street star Liz Dawn among the waitresses serving the beer.

The second series is released as a two-disc set by Network DVD on Monday with an rrp of £19.99.
