Absolute legends!
Three BBC dramas about troubled comedians have been released on DVD today – and we have six copies to give away.
Legends of Comedy is a series of biopics about Steptoe and Son, Frankie Howard and Hughie Green.
David Walliams stars as Howerd in Rather You Than Me, about the comic’s depression, self-doubt and difficulty in coming to terms with his homosexuality at a time when it was still illegal.
In The Curse of Steptoe, Jason Isaacs and Phil Davis star as Harry H Corbett and Wilfrid Brambell, whose personal antipathy and feelings of being trapped together reflected their on-screen releastionship in Steptoe And Son.
Finally, Trevor Eve stars in Hughie Green, Most Sincerely about the family favourite TV host who was addicted to prescription drugs, alcohol and women – and secretly fathered Paula Yates.
The DVD is released by 2 Entertain, priced £24.99 – but to stand a chance of winning one of our copies, just answer the following question by June 28, when the winners will be chosen at random from all correct answers received. Bulk entries will be disqualified.
Good luck!
