Win the show that launched the stars...

Five DVD sets must be won

A largely forgotten sketch show that helped launch the careers of Ben Elton, Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie is released on DVD today – and we have five copies to give away.

Alfresco ran for two series on ITV in 1983 and 1984, and also featured Robbie Coltrane, Emma Thompson and Siobhan Redmond in its cast.

As the title suggest, much of the programme – mainly written by Elton – was shot on location.

This new two-disc set, released by Network, contains all the episodes, as well as the prequel, There’s Nothing to Worry About!, which ran for just three episodes in the Granada region only.

It sells for £19.56 – but to stand a chance of winning one, just answer the following simple question by February 16, when we will select the winners from all correct answers received. You must be over 15, and bulk entries will be disqualified.

Which of these was a later Ben Elton series?
