Win tickets to black comedy showcase

The Def Comedy Jam showcase of black stand-up talent is coming to Britain – and we have two pairs of tickets to each gig to give away.

Acts appearing include Patrice O’Neal, Tony Roberts, Capone, Dominique and Kojo – the first British comedian to play the live show – plus DJ Kid Capri.

Def Comedy Jam, the brainchild of hip-hop entrepreneur Russell Simmons, began as a TV show on America’s HBO network in 1991, before taking to the road.

Simmons said: ‘Def Comedy Jam has introduced some of the greatest urban comics to the American audience. I’m proud to discover talented, new comedians who are ready to take the next step in their careers. The comedians we’re bringing to the UK are my favorite. I promise you, they will blow the house down!’

The show is at Manchester Apollo on September 16, Birmingham ‘s Alexandra Theatre on September 17 and Brixton Academy, South London, on September 20.

To stand a chance of winning a pair of tickets to one of the shows, just answer this question by September 12, when we will select the winner at random from all correct answers received. Bulk automated entries will be disallowed.

Good luck!
