The 1962 film sees Sellers on top for as the womanising retired General Leo Fitzjohn. Despite juggling a bitter and bedridden wife, and a long-time mistress, the General’s eye is still caught by every nubile young lady he passes. However when he discovers his wife has been writing love letters to her doctor, he plans to give the doctor a thrashing.
The DVD – released by Network – is in letterbox format, and also includes the original trailer and press pack and is priced £9.99.
