Chris Rock was great dealt with everything race, marriage,relationships sex, elections candidates,money he was firing on all cylinders for an hour & 45 minutes. Which is long for a stand up & no boring parts even though Eddie Murphy's Delirious & Raw were funny there were boring parts. Also Eddie Murphy's Delirious seemed long but Eddie was only on stage for hour & 15 minutes & Eddie Murphy was on stage even less on Raw. So I was very satisfied with Chris Rock. He has taken stand up to another level & you can see he is very intelligent because his jokes have a real serious side.

Saw the brother on Sunday night, material was a combination of new and old but still entertained me. His delivery and focus was impeccable. A bit disappointed with the venue which I found to be rather bland for an A list act I would have expected a bit more glamour. All in all had a thoroughly enjoyable experience and look forward to him visiting the UK again on his next tour.

Saw Chris Rock at Birmingham on Sat, was looking forward to the show a great deal. However I left feeling disappointed, his material just seemed very dated and very tired. He seems to have been doing the themes of racism and male/female relationships for ever and it is starting to wear thin. Needs to be brave and step out of his comfort zone, and broaden his topics next time.

Caught the Friday night show in the Apollo in Hammersmith. Was a bit worried at the start, but he was just getting us all warmed up. The set was nice and topical and he was totally in command of the audience.

Went to see the first show last night in Manchester and thought he did a great job. His delivery was obviously not as polished as it will be by the end of the the tour, but nevertheless, the new material was as good as I expected. Standard Chris Rock routine, topical, racism and relationships in that order. stars
