Gamarjobat: Rock 'n' Roll Penguin Show type: Edinburgh Fringe 2007
Gamarjobat: Rock 'n' Roll Penguin

Having seen Gamarjobat perform both on the street and in theatres in Edinburgh over the past few years, I can highly recommend them for great family entertainment. Their slapstick, silly comedy appeals equally to adults and children - Rock & Roll penguin achieving some huge guffaws and hysterical laughter from most of the (mainly) adult audience at the show we attended. Rock & Roll Penguin contains a lot of their traditional street gags, and relies on some audience participation, but this is by no means detrimental to the show. We had a great time watching them and came out of the theatre still smiling with painful cheeks and aching sides! Even our sceptical 15 year old enjoyed himself! Ketch and Hiro-pon are lovely boys and are always happy to chat & pose for photos etc after their performances. We look forward to seeing them again next Ffestival!

The Kay Family, August 2007

A mixed bag. This show certainly gains a few smiles and laughs, but this particular shows may entertain the kids more than the adults. However, it's still fun to watch these guys run around for the hell of it and silently insult each other. Obscene hand gestures are guaranteed, though.
