I had never heard of Karen Dunbar and saw a packed out performance from a very funny Scottish woman. The performance was energetic and enthusiastic. Opening the show with an upbeat song, the audience warmed to her instantly. I was impressed at how very good Karen Dunbar was at combing stand up comedy with character comedy. The delivery of her stories was also uplifting with a hint of madness and mirth. Karen Dunbar obviously came across as a very popular comedy performer in Scotland and deserves to be seen by a wider audience. This is a funny show.

This review seems unnecessarily chilly and sarcastic, in view of a hilarious, laugh-out-loud, sell-out performance by Karen Dunbar. Anyone who can engender that degree of mirth and enjoyment in an audience deserves all the praise one can give.
