In a festival full of people kidding themselves on that they are stand up comics, Doug Stanhope stands out as a worthy heir to Bill Hicks' throne - if you didn't see the show, you were caught napping this fringe my friends.

Saw Doug the following evening and from what I can gather the set was tighter from the start. He got a grip on the British/American differences quite sharp. Maybe creeping him up half a star. There is a lot Doug says I don't agree with, but it is funny and intelligent comedy.Highlight of the fringe for me, so far.
