We're still Inbetween movies

Reports of a sequel are premature...

Reports that The Inbetweeners cast have signed up to a movie sequel have been officially denied.

The Sun this morning reported that James Buckley, Simon Bird, Blake Harrison and Joe Thomas had all agreed to take part in a follow-up, which would be shot in Australia.

However, a post on the official Inbetweeners Facebook page said the newspaper had jumped the gun – but confirmed that a sequel WAS in the pipeline.

The message said: ‘Nothing's signed yet, and Australia is just one of the ideas we're kicking around, but we hope to have a new and definitely final film for you some time next year.

‘We hope you miss us as much as we miss you.’

The initial report claimed writers Damon Beesley and Iain Morris were planning to set the sequel around a backpacking trip down under.

Buckley recently admitted he was keen for a reunion, saying of his fellow cast members: ‘I’m missing them, I’m missing those boys.’
