Paddy McGuinness plays arenas

£2m tour announced

Paddy McGuinness has become the latest comedian to launch an arena tour.

He has announced a series of eight dates in the autumn in venues such as the 16,000-capacity Manchester Evening News Arena and 13,000-capacity Birmingham NIA. With tickets priced at £25, the brief run has the potential to take £2million at the box office alone.

McGuinness, who hosts ITV dating show Take Me Out, has titled the tour Saturday Night Live – although only three of the eight dates are Saturdays, and it obviously has nothing to do with the long-running US late-night comedy show of the same name.

Publicity blurb for the show calls it ‘one of 2011's most eagerly anticipated stand up tours’ and says: ‘Get your tickets, some party poppers and let yourself go…’

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday. Click here for the full schedule.
