Hill and Hart lead Comedy Award nods
The nominees for the British Comedy Awards have been unveiled, with Harry Hill and Miranda Hart leading the shortlist, with four nods apiece.
Hill has nominations for best male comic, best entertainment personality, and the People's Choice Award - while TV Burp is up for best comedy entertainment programme. Hart is up for best comedy actress and the People's Choice, While her self-titled sitcom, just renewed for a third series, is up for best new comedy and best sitcom
This year is also the first time since 2000 that a children's show has been nominated, with Horrible Histories in the running for best sketch show alongside Harry & Paul and Armstrong & Miller. Previously, SM:TV won the People's Choice award.
