Chilling news...
Noel Fielding has revealed more details of the planned Mighty Boosh movie – saying it will be set in the Arctic.
The comic also explained that he and Julian Barratt were planning a trilogy of films, if only they could get the finance.
And he revealed that they were working on a Rocky Horror-style musical – as well as their much-vaunted album project.
An Arctic setting would mark a return to Fielding and Barratt’s roots: their second Edinburgh show in 1999 was Arctic Boosh, which also won the coveted Barry award at the Melbourne comedy festival.
Fielding told the BBC: ‘[The film] is going to be quite an adventure. I don't know how much money we'll have so we'll have to be a little bit careful.
‘In our heads it's like Indiana Jones, it's huge, but obviously it'll probably be more like Moon where we can have an exterior and then lots of models and CGI.
‘I'm pretty pleased the way it's going. I'm quite excited. Fingers crossed but I don't want to jinx it. It might be awful."rn‘We've got another idea for a Rocky Horror-type musical, which is coming along. The album, we've done about 13 tracks, so that should be out soon.’
Fielding, who is also making a tentative return to stand-up, says he’s found time to take on extra work buy cutting down on his partying ways.
