More Stew for BBC Two
BBC Two has ordered a second series of Stewart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle.
The show, mixing stand-up and sketches, was critically acclaimed when it aired last March, but attracted fairly modest ratings of around a million viewers a week.
However, its fans were devoted, and launched an online campaign to bring it back.
Producer Armando Iannucci Twittered today: 'There'll be a 2nd series of Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle. Huzzah! Huzzah!'
Comics including Kevin Eldon, Paul Putner, Tara Flynn and Simon Munnery took part in the sketches in the first series.
The news comes as BBC Two also commissioned a second six-part series of Dave Gorman's Genius
