Pranks again

Fonejacker to return – without the phones

Channel 4 has commissioned a new series of Fonejacker, with creator Kayvan Novak pulling practical jokes face to face, rather than over the phone.

He will wear prosthetics to pull his pranks in the street for Fonejacker 3D, which will air early next year.

The series was unveiled today as part of Channel 4’s winter season of programmes, which includes new series of Alan Carr’s Chatty Man, Chris Moyles’ Quiz Night and 8 Out Of 10 Cats,.

School of Comedy, featuring children acting out adult sketches, moves from E4, while the previously-announced series of Comedy Lab pilots will air in March.

Meanwhile, E4 has bought the rights to The Cleveland Show – the spin-off from Family Guy – which it will air from February.

Channel 4 head of programmes Julian Bellamy also announced that Wife Swap and How Clean Is Your House? had both been axed as part of the ‘creative renewal’ at the broadcaster, following the cancellation of Big Brother after next year.
