Deidre was the best thing I saw at Edinburgh this year and I saw a lot of comedy acts. It's not clever and it's not chanllenging just laugh out loud funny.

Susie Meehan, August 2006

Wasn't too sure what to expect, but she was excellent. Really, really, funny. Would highly recommend anyone go see her

Jason, May 2006

She is funny, but why can't she just use her own voice, the one she puts on her act is irritating and would give you a headache

Orla, April 2006

She is a good comedy actress but a shite comedian. Her audience seems obliged to laugh and applaud at her pointless stories. Her success is like some sort of affirmative action program for female comedians. Thing is, there are some very funny Irish comediennes, Deirdre O'Kane isn't one of them though

Bob, October 2004

Excellent comedian.Far better than any other Irish comedian out there. She's a star

Barry, June 2004

Break your bollix funny and a fine strap of a lass

Fionn, January 2003

Genuinely funny, a natural comic, whoever says she's boring should break out the Prozac.

Senan, November 2002

She has persevered in the face of typical Irish begrudgery, and it is paying off for her. She went down a storm in Edinburgh. Best of luck to to her.

Tracy, September 2002
