Original Review: Chris Gilbert is a classy operator - a keen, confident performer with his best material as sharp as his suits. He might not have been around all that long, but he's certainly among the top bracket of his peers, with a highly-polished 20 minutes already under his belt. His strength comes from being technically assured, ploughing into his subjects with a near-irresistible force and intelligently structuring his routines so solidly that they become bombproof. His best sections are almost masterclasses in extracting every last drop of humour from a gag, as he rants passionately about, say, Oil of Olay or the perils of spinach soup. They are seemingly mundane subjects but it's almost universally pulled off with panache, a keen observational eye, and an attention to detail that's hard to fault. |

Has developed a polished act over the past few years. Well done Geoff, October 2006 |

He is hysterical. Best part of the night for me, by a long way. Shows that you don't need to shout and swear to be funny, a little bit of style, goes a long way Jenny, February 2005 |

He is so polished and so damn funny I don't know why I've never seen him before. An absolute star and the reason I will be returning to the venue I saw him at again and again. Class. Angela Giblin, May 2004 |

A very amusing typical Essex chap who has me looking at the paper clip on my PC in a very diffrent way. Bailey, May 2004 |
