Colin Owens first tried comedy in March 2005, after his wife and mother brought him a place on a comedy course for a Christmas gift. With just a few gigs to his name he won a Comedy Idol talent contest run by Jimmy Carr as an extra on one of his stand-up DVDs, and got to appear at Bloomsbury Theatre, as Carr's support act. Excellent compere. I performed an open mic slot at the LOL Exeter Comedy Festival and Colin was superb. He prepped the open mic guys really well and made everyone feel at ease.
